#MontySummit 2015: MovieLaLa …A social/mobile IMDB

#MontySummit (montgomerysummit.com) gathers entrepreneurs, investors, and leading executives to discover the most important innovations in business and technology. Here you have my impressions from one of their 30min sessions: Movielala

Starting with an introduction based on Job’s speech… “Distribution Channel will be by-passed. Movie content will be going directly to viewers”

Have brought an Opportunity: Moviegoers ‘s ages between 12-39 purchase over 50% of tickers. 75% Frequent Moviegoers are the techiest ones (heavy users of tablets, smartphones, social networks,…)

As there are moviemakers that rest on providers like netflix or amazon to direct stream content to viewers, there is an opportunity to bring a new type of marketing – vs just play the trailer on TV-  directly to end customers.

Build communities around movies

MovieLaLa is like IMDB.com but mobile and social. You will be able to buy tickets from the App… You will get suggestions and notifications depending on your preferences.

I’m excited to see how it will evolve later
