how-to use virt-install to connect at openvswitch bridges

Very simple. However, hard to find.
Download your qcow2 image and execute virt-install as follow.

yum -y install virt-install
curl -o ./test.qcow2 \
https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/nuage-demo-cala/40r8+files/centos7-reverse.qcow2
virt-install -n test --vcpus 2 --ram 2048 --connect qemu:///system \
--disk path=./test.qcow2,format=qcow2,bus=virtio,cache=none \
--network=bridge:external,model=virtio,virtualport_type=openvswitch \
--os-type=linux --noautoconsole --vnc --os-variant=rhel7 \
--import

In a few words. Just add “virtualport_type=openvswitch” to your network settings.

See ya!
